PBIS School-Climate Survey Suite Manual
Summary
The School Climate Survey Suite is a set of five multidimensional surveys designed to measure student, teacher, administrator, faculty, and family perceptions of school climate.
Additionally, underneath related resources, there is an 11-minute video from ThinkTVPBS which discusses the importance of creating and sustaining school and classroom climate. Developed in partnership with the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), this video is part of a series that provides practical applications for educators pursuing schoolwide SEL.

The district might choose to survey students, teachers, administrators, and families in order to assess perceptions of school climate. Results can be analyzed to determine appropriate next steps. District and building leadership teams may also want to check out How are Schools Using the School Climate Surveys and How are Schools Using the Parent and Personnel School Climate Surveys both from the Center on PBIS for assistance in interpreting survey results.
District and building leadership teams and teacher teams might choose to individually complete the pre-viewing reflection questions and then view the video. Team might then choose to collectively review the post-viewing questions to determine next steps for creating and/or sustaining supportive school and classroom climates.
